Mike Mineo does a wonderful job with this interesting, helpful blog so I thought I'd give him a little review here.

Articulate, informative blogs are rare and few between. Mike Mineo does a fine job of writing and reviewing Indie music in his blog, "Obscure Sound".
His presentation is simple and clean, but his words explode on the page. This may be the first time I've read words that really convey the essence of the music, enough that you feel you've heard the music before you actually listen to the mp3s.
Mike offers track and album reviews, interviews, contests, free mp3 downloads and more. All highly intelligent and sensitive.
I encourage you to visit his blog and especially listen to the most beautiful music of Arborea. This husband-wife team presents such a lovely, unique blend of styles. I'm totally enraptured by (ah, that I could find the words like Mike does!) the way Shanti's exquisite voice literally wraps itself around the string accompaniment...it's sometimes difficult to perceive separation between the two.
This music is the stuff that dreams are made of, so relaxing yet involving and interesting. Totally unique. Please visit, enjoy, and tell Mike that I sent you!
