Positive music is music that has a positive effect on the listener and also prompts the listener into taking positive action. Positive music not only entertains but also acts as a catalyst for positive change in the world.

One of the benefits of listening to positive music is that it helps create a sense of connection with other people and with the natural world. Sound is our perception of invisible waves moving through the air. Music is the organization of sound on many different levels. Sounds can be arranged into notes, rhythms, textures, phrases, melodies, symphonies, beats, measures, cadences, and more. Through the organization and perception of sounds, we can reconnect with our true selves, with our cohabitants on this gorgeous planet, and with the Earth itself.
The Bible starts with "in the beginning was the Word". In the beginning, there was only Sound. From the "Music of the Spheres" came all of the rest - sound, music, matter, form. Expressing the inexpressible, the Great Spirit, the Great Mystery, God, the Universe was born.
Joseph Graf, in his writings and contributions to our Spiritual Ecology section, speaks of the words of trees, bird wings, wolves, flowers, leaves, and water. From there, it is but a brief journey via the human imagination, first to Melarme's poem "Afternoon of a Faun", then Debussy's "Prelude to the Afternoon of a Faun" and Stravinsky's "Rite of Spring". This just as one example of how the Primal Sound finds expressions in our gorgeous world.
The first intention was one of harmony and balance. Thusly was the world created. Is it then far-fetched to say that through sound, and our perception of and attunement to it, harmony and balance can be regained?
As a musician and composer, it has been my lifelong ambition to express the inexpressible through my instrument of choice, my beloved violin, and thereby to help rejuvenate, inspire, and bring joy to all who care to listen. Then it was brought to my attention that my music was being used by doctors, researchers, and therapists around the world to aid the healing process. This has added a new dimension to my work, as now I'm joined by many more with the same purpose and intentions.
This feels to me (no matter what your religious faith) like the Spirit intended in the biblical quote, "For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them." (Matthew 18:20) Gathered here on this humble website, we each work towards acknowledging positive music's role in expressing the inexpressible.
Whether it be the music of a bird's flight, the wind moving through the trees, Tibetan bells and chanting, meditation, symphonies or song, each of us is offering something that millions of people worldwide are searching for. Whether they are looking to Oprah, Wayne Dyer, Marianne Williamson, self-help books, healthy lifestyles, or sustainable living, millions are searching for what the people on these pages are sharing.
People are flocking in droves to workshops and retreats, dance and fitness centers, hospitals and hospices, schools, counseling and coaching programs, and spiritual communities, or are searching in the comfort of their own homes. Searching for answers to how to regain joy, health, harmony, wholeness, wellness, peace and prosperity for themselves and for the world.
We here on this website believe in the contribution positive, relaxing, rejuvenating sounds and music are making to reconnecting, remembering, rediscovering and renewing all the parts of our lives.
